Abstract

Presentamos un proyecto de innovación educativa desarrollado en el Hospital Metropolitano “Dr. Bernardo Sepúlveda” en la ciudad de Monterrey, Nuevo León titulado “Curso – Taller multidisciplinario de seguridad del paciente”. La idea de este proyecto surge en el contexto de la falta de cultura de seguridad del paciente que existe entre los estudiantes de Ciencias de la Salud. Recientemente se han acoplado cursos similares en programas de Medicina a lo largo del país, sin embargo, creemos que es indispensable que se fomente el trabajo en equipo entre los diferentes profesionales de las distintas áreas de Salud que trabajan juntos en un hospital. En el caso del Hospital Metropolitano, se cuenta con estudiantes, internos y pasantes de las áreas de: Medicina, Enfermería, Nutrición, Licenciado en Fisioterapia Pulmonar y Rehabilitación Física y Técnico Radiólogo, entre otras. En este proyecto se tomó la iniciativa de formar un curso para que todas las áreas aprendieran juntas aspectos importantes que incumben el trabajo de todos, junto al paciente, y que al mismo tiempo trabajaran unidos para resolver las problemáticas que se presentan en el hospital.
