Abstract

Este trabalho teve como objetivo avaliar o enraizamento de estacas herbáceas de orégano com diferentes tamanhos e retiradas de diferentes regiões do ramo. Foram instalados dois experimentos, sendo um para avaliar o efeito do tamanho das estacas herbáceas (3, 6 e 9 cm), que foram retiradas da porção apical dos ramos, e outro para avaliar o efeito da posição das estacas no ramo (apical, mediana e basal), com estacas padronizadas com 3 cm de comprimento. O delineamento experimental utilizado para ambos foi inteiramente casualizado com 5 repetições e 24 estacas por parcela. A estaquia foi realizada em bandejas de poliestireno expandido de 128 células, utilizando-se o substrato comercial Plantmax HT®. Após 35 dias foi realizada a avaliação dos experimentos. O tamanho das estacas herbáceas não afetou o enraizamento, que foi em média 96,5%, nem a massa fresca e seca das raízes formadas por estaca e o número de brotações (11,4). As estacas de 3 cm apresentaram grande crescimento (312,6%), atingindo altura semelhante às estacas de maiores tamanhos. As estacas preparadas a partir da região apical dos ramos apresentaram elevada porcentagem de enraizamento (98,3%) e foram superiores, quanto ao número de brotações por estaca (7,8), altura das plantas (11,6 cm) e massa fresca da parte aérea e de raízes. Conclui-se que a propagação vegetativa de orégano pode ser realizada com estacas herbáceas apicais com tamanho de 3 cm de comprimento.
