O EFEITO DA FLORESTA NO MICROCLIMA URBANO

Abstract

O papel que as florestas desempenham para a estabilidade climática é inquestionável e por isso é preciso intensificar a presença desse recurso em locais extremamente antropizados para amenizar os prejuízos ambientais e reestabelecer seu valor às pessoas. Assim, cabe à ciência florestal desenvolver conhecimento científico e estabelecer estratégias para possibilitar tal ação de maneira adequada. O presente artigo foi desenvolvido a convite da Revista FLORESTA e da coordenação do curso de Pós-Graduação em Engenharia Florestal da Universidade Federal do Paraná em comemoração ao cinquentenário do programa. Tem como objetivo apresentar os principais resultados da tese intitulada “Análise quantitativa das variáveis meteorológicas em diferentes tipologias de floresta urbana de Curitiba - PR” que foi desenvolvida entre os anos de 2013 e 2016, na linha de pesquisa conservação da natureza sob a orientação da professora Daniela Biondi. Tal pesquisa foi uma importante contribuição para o desenvolvimento e aprimoramento desta temática no cenário nacional.
