INDICADORES ECONÔMICO-FINANCEIROS DO MANEJO DE BAIXO IMPACTO EM FLORESTAS TROPICAIS – UM

Abstract

Este artigo teve o objetivo de analisar os indicadores econômico-financeiros do manejo de baixo impacto em florestas tropicais com dois ciclos de corte, considerando diferentes situações de produtividade e de investimento em terra. Os dados utilizados foram fornecidos por uma empresa que explora uma floresta situada no município de Marcelândia, estado do Mato Grosso, e comercializa as toras com as indústrias da região. Os indicadores econômico-financeiros mostraram-se baixos em todas as situações analisadas, com os menores valores ocorrendo no primeiro ciclo e nas situações em que foram realizados os tratos silviculturais, porém, no segundo ciclo os valores elevaram-se e foram maiores onde ocorreram tais tratos. Ao desconsiderar o investimento em terra, ocorreu um aumento significativo dos índices econômico-financeiros em todas as situações no primeiro ciclo, com elevação mais acentuada a partir do segundo ciclo. As espécies destinadas para laminação apresentaram indicadores negativos no primeiro ciclo, e uma pequena elevação no segundo. As espécies para serraria apresentaram valores maiores, mas muito aquém do ideal, se considerada a Taxa Mínima de Atratividade (TMA) de 12% ao ano. Dessas espécies, a itaúba teve a maior rentabilidade.
