Cidade, Casa e Igreja: sobre Catingueira, seus adultos e suas crianças

Abstract

Este é um artigo de caráter descritivo e etnográfico que apresenta a vida cotidiana de uma cidade pequena no semi-árido da Paraíba. O objetivo é situar a cidade de Catingueira e os catingueirenses, abrangendo breves aspectos sócio-econômicos, políticos, geográficos, religiosos, estatísticos. Além disso, discuto como as crianças estão presentes neste contexto, dando destaque às idéias infantis, principalmente no que diz respeito à política.
