Condiciones de sanidad ambiental en los campamentos de Santiago: Una mirada desde la participación ciudadana y la colectividad barrial

Abstract

En Latinoamérica, los sistemas de salud y seguridad social enfrentan grandes desafíos debido a enfoques ajenos a las realidades territoriales, lo que se agrava por la falta de equidad en el acceso a servicios básicos y la eficiencia en el uso de recursos, afectando especialmente a las poblaciones de bajos recursos. Este estudio propone un análisis de dos casos de asentamientos informales en la Región Metropolitana, con el objetivo de explorar cómo los aspectos territoriales y los Determinantes Ambientales y Sociales en Salud (DASS) influyen en la eficiencia territorial y la sinergia colectiva frente a contingencias sanitarias y sociales. Los resultados destacan que las mejores condiciones socioambientales se dan en comunidades más cohesionadas, con mayor capacidad de presión, y donde se valora el conocimiento y la interacción con el territorio.
