Sistem Monitor Kelembaban Tanah Berbasis Internet of Things (IoT)

Abstract

Abstrak— Kelembaban tanah adalah kandungan air yang membasuhi sebagian atau seluruh pori-pori tanah. Selama ini, proses pengecekan kelembaban tanah masih dilakukan secara manual, dimana petani harus datang ke lapangan secara langsung. Untuk membantu proses pengecekan tanah tersebut, maka peneliti merancang dan membangun sistem monitor kelembaban tanah berbasis Internet of Things yang bertujuan untuk mempermudah proses monitor kelembaban tanah tanpa harus datang ke lapangan. Dalam pelaksanaan pengembangan sistem monitor ini, penulis menggunakan metode pengembangan sistem prototype. Sistem ini menginplementasikan sebuah mikrokontroler Arduino UNO, pemancar WiFi ESP8266-01, sensor kelembaban tanah YL-69, dan LCD sebagai bagian dari sistem monitor. Berdasarkan hasil dari perancangan dan pengujian Sistem monitor kelembaban tanah ini memungkinkan pengguna agar bisa mendapatkan informasi keadaan tingkat kelembaban tanah tanpa dibatasi oleh jarak dengan menggunakan jaringan internet dimana thingspeak dan thingview sebagai media pemantau dimana sistem ini bermanfaat untuk membantu petani mengetahui tingkat kelembaban tanah melalui smartphone dan PC.
