Abstract

A pupunha, Bactris gasipaes Kunth, é nativa da América Central, a composição lipídica do fruto, o torna s interessante comercialmente, sendo estratégica no aspecto de sustentabilidade sócio-ambiental. O presente trabalho, utilizou duas espécies de pupunha: Bactris gasipaes Junth (pupunha vermelha) e Bractris dahlgreniana Glassman (pupunha amarela). Os frutos foram processados e extraído o óleo através do soxhlet, o material obtido foi quantificado e após, foram filtradas e colocadas em espectrofotômetro e submetidas a diferentes comprimentos de onda, sendo de 220 a 300 m considerado ultravioleta B (UVB) e de 320 a 400 m ultravioleta A (UVA). A quantidade óleo proveniente de pupunha vermelha é superior à de pupunha amarela. A fração lipídica oriunda da semente tanto de Bactris gasipaes Junth (pupunha vermelha) quanto de Bractris dahlgreniana Glassman (pupunha amarela) apresentaram atividade fotoprotetora relevante.
