Abstract

Las ciencias agropecuarias, están encargadas de la producción proteína animal, donde deben priorizar el mejoramiento continuo del bienestar animal, calidad y cantidad de carne por animal en producción y utilidad en sistemas avícolas, en busca de alternativas para ofrecer una adecuada alimentación en pollos de engorde. En la presente investigación se suplemento con alfalfa picada (Medicago sativa) a 45 pollos machos de la línea Cobb 500 (43 g/ 1 día), dividido en tres tratamientos, tratamiento testigo sin la suplementación de alfalfa (T0), tratamiento con el 2,5% de inclusión de alfalfa (T1) y tratamiento con inclusión de 5 % de alfalfa (T2). Donde se observó que los niveles crecientes alfalfa picada (%), influyeron significativamente (p>0, 05) sobre las variables evaluadas, obteniéndose los mejores resultados con nivel de inclusión del 2,5% en cada variable.
