Hidrofeminismos territoriales: agua, cuidados y ecofeminismo urbano en el Área Metropolitana de Buenos Aires

Abstract

Este artículo propone la noción de hidrofeminismos territoriales para anclar el concepto de hidrofeminismo (Neimanis, 2012) en las condiciones materiales de desigualdad del Sur. Frente al riesgo de esencializar el vínculo entre mujeres y agua, argumentamos que dicha relación es políticamente construida y territorialmente situada: son la división sexual del trabajo de cuidado, la segregación socioespacial y las violencias extractivistas las que sitúan a las mujeres de sectores populares en la primera línea de la gestión y la defensa del agua. A partir de la investigación empírica en los territorios hidrosociales del Área Metropolitana de Buenos Aires, identificamos al menos cuatro dimensiones de injusticia hídrica generizada: contaminación; acceso deficitario al agua y saneamiento; inundaciones recurrentes, y defensa de humedales y costas. Los hidrofeminismos territoriales aportan claves para imaginar una ecología política feminista del agua desde las praxis urbanas latinoamericanas.
