Abstract

Diante das necessidades dos cursos de formação de professores, o Governo Federal, em 2007, implementou o Programa Institucional de Bolsas de Iniciação à Docência (Pibid) para que os licenciandos tivessem contato sistemático com a educação básica para vivenciar o cotidiano da realidade escolar com vistas à aprendizagem da docência e à constituição da identidade profissional. O presente artigo visa refletir sobre os efeitos do Pibid na formação para a docência, considerando a realidade das licenciaturas e as ações transformadoras dos estudantes e professores participantes, ocorridas nos âmbitos das formações escolar e acadêmica. O estudo permite concluir que o Pibid se tornou uma grande estratégia de formação acadêmica e escolar, contemplando uma vasta quantidade de educandos e educadores nas escolas e nas universidades. O programa beneficiroou diretamente os estudantes das licenciaturas em formação inicial; os estudantes da educação básica, com novas ações de ensino desenvolvidas; os professores das escolas públicas, com a formação continuada; e os professores das licenciaturas, com o conhecimento prático da vivência escolar e a ampliação dos estudos, pesquisas e atividades de extensão.
