Reconhecimento de cédulas de real usando inteligência artificial para auxiliar pessoas com deficiência visual

Abstract

O reconhecimento de cédulas de Real ainda é um desafio para pessoas com deficiência visual. Este trabalho propõe uma solução que utiliza uma rede neural convolucional para auxiliar essas pessoas a reconhecerem cédulas de Real, empregando um smartphone com câmera. A implementação resulta em um aplicativo chamado Banknotes Recognition, que realiza o reconhecimento de forma rápida, capturando a imagem da cédula com a câmera do próprio smartphone. Os testes realizados com um conjunto de 66 imagens de cédulas de Real demonstraram uma acurácia de 100%, com todas as cédulas sendo classificadas corretamente, mesmo em condições adversas, como notas dobradas, com fundos complexos, sob diferentes condições de iluminação e notas desgastadas.
