BIORREMEDIAÇÃO DE RESÍDUOS OLEOSOS EM SOLOS

Abstract

Os inumeros acidentes e vazamentos envolvendo produtos oleosos, principalmente os contendo derivados de petroleo acabam afetando varios meios naturais, sendo o solo um dos grandes receptores dessa contaminacao. Para remediacao destas areas, varios sao os processos que podem ser utilizados, mas os processos biologicos se destacam entre os tratamentos mais utilizados, principalmente em relacao ao custo e a eficiencia quando comparados a processos fisico quimicos. Destes a atenuacao natural a bioaumentacao e a bioestimulacao sao as tecnicas de biorremediacao mais utilizadas. O solo naturalmente possui microrganismos com capacidade de degradar os diferentes contaminantes oleosos. Fatores ambientais como pH, temperatura, potencial redox, umidade e nutrientes sao de fundamental importância para que ocorra o processo de biorremediacao.. Os hidrocarbonetos sao compostos de baixa densidade e a maioria dos seus componentes consiste em uma fase nao soluvel em agua, ou pelo menos possuem dificuldade em solubilizar seus componentes no aquifero ou solo, quando em seu estado original, sendo uma dificuldade para a sua biorremediacao. A biodegradacao de hidrocarbonetos e essencialmente uma reacao de oxi-reducao onde o hidrocarboneto e oxidado (doador de eletrons) e um aceptor de eletrons e reduzido. Objetiva-se assim abordar os principais aspectos envolvidos na biorremediacao de compostos oleosos, descrevendo as principais tecnicas utilizadas, fatores importantes para degradacao e microrganismos degradadores.
