
新積雪の密度と気象要素および卓越結晶形との関係を詳しく調べるために, 秋田県鹿角市八幡平で6時間毎の観測を実施した.その結果次のことがわかった.1) 新積雪の密度は平均気温の低下と共にやや小さくなり, 平均風速の増加と共にやや大きくなる傾向を示したが, 卓越結晶形の相違による測定値のばらつきは相当大きかった.2) 平均気温が0℃以下のときには, 新積雪の密度は卓越結晶毎に, 雲粒付着の有無およびふぶきの有無を考慮して表わすことができる.
