Colpocitologia oncotica antes e durante a pandemia de COVID-19

Abstract

Objetivo: Analisar as mudanças no acompanhamento da saúde da mulher relacionadas à Colpocitologia Oncótica durante a pandemia da Doença causada pelo vírus SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19), bem como descrever seus principais achados. Método: Trata-se de um estudo observacional, transversal, descritivo e quantitativo que analisou os resultados de exames de colpocitologia oncótica de mulheres que compareceram a uma Unidade de Saúde de Belém - Pará no período de 2019 a 2021. Resultados: Estudos demonstram que, nesse período, foram realizados um total de 2.301 exames citopatológicos cervicais, dos quais 2.105 foram incluídos na pesquisa, e em 2019, antes da pandemia, foram realizados 917 exames, enquanto em 2020 e 2021 foram realizados 549 e 639 exames, respectivamente, evidenciando diretamente o impacto da pandemia na abordagem preventiva de doenças, afinal houve um declínio nos atendimentos. Em relação aos resultados obtidos, em 2019 ocorreram 57 alterações, sendo 12 lesões de alto grau e 1 adenocarcinoma; em 2020, 42 exames alterados, sendo 5 lesões de alto grau e 1 carcinoma espinocelular; em 2021, 43 achados anormais, 2 dos quais foram lesões de alto grau. Conclusão: A coleta de colpocitologia oncótica é essencial na prevenção e rastreamento do câncer do colo do útero (CCU), afinal, trata-se de uma doença com alta incidência mundial. Além disso, foi demonstrado que a pandemia de COVID-19 dificultou a coleta de colpocitologia oncótica, culminando em uma queda na triagem e detecção precoce de cancer de colo do útero.
