Abstract

El objetivo de la investigación fue evaluar la respuesta productiva y bienestar de cerdos destinados a engorde al inocular microorganismos eficientes al agua de bebida. Se utilizaron 180 cerdos F2 línea genética Topigs Norsvin, desde los 22 hasta los 164 días de edad, distribuidos en bloques completamente aleatorizado DBCA con 12 tratamientos y 3 repeticiones (n = 5 cerdos por unidades experimental). Los tratamientos fueron: T0 (Control), T1 (Lactobacillus acidophilus), T2 (Enterococcus faecium), T3 (Bifidobacterium bifidum), T4 (Bacillus subtilis), T5 (L. acidophilus y E. faecium), T6 (L. acidophilus y B. bifidum), T7 (L. acidophilus y B. subtilis), T8 (E. faecium y B. bifidum), T9 (E. faecium y B. subtilis), T10 (B. bifidum y B. subtilis), T11 (L. acidophilus, E. faecium, B. bifidum y B. subtilis) suministrados en la etapa de pre–ceba y ceba, a una dosis de 700 g·200 L-1 (1 × 109 UFC·g-1), distribuidos en 5 frecuencias cada 30 d (22; 52; 82; 112 y 142 días de edad). El tratamiento T7 fue uno de los tratamientos con mejores resultados para todas las variables (peso final, consumo alimenticio acumulado, ganancia diaria de peso, conversión alimenticia, rendimiento en canal caliente y presentación de diarrea). Se concluye que el uso de estos microorganismos en el agua de bebida de cerdos destinados a engorde ejerce un efecto favorecedor en la eficiencia de absorción y conversión de nutrientes a nivel intestinal, reflejando una mejora en los índices productivos y reducción de la incidencia de diarreas al utilizar el consorcio microbiano (L. acidophilus y B. subtilis).
