Abstract

La presente investigación tuvo como objetivo evaluar el efecto del producto fermentativo de tibicos de kéfir como acidificante suministrado en el agua de bebida durante todas las etapas para mejorar los parámetros productivos a los 42 días en pollos Cobb 500. El kéfir es un acidificante natural que aporta propiedades nutricionales en animales, pero sus beneficios son pocos conocidos en la región. El estudio se realizó en la Finca Integral Agropecuaria Talu situada en la parroquia Canuto, Manabí – Ecuador; estuvo conformado por 96 pollos de la línea Cobb 500, el mismo constó de un diseño de bloques completamente al azar, y se distribuyó en cuatro tratamientos (T) con cuatro repeticiones, cada uno con 6 pollos, denominados de la siguiente manera: T0 (testigo), T1, T2 y T3; administrando 0; 5; 10 y 15 mililitros (mL) de tibicos de Kéfir, respectivamente; los tibicos de Kéfir se añadieron en el agua de bebida en las dosis establecidas, según el diseño experimental desde el día 0 hasta el día 42; las variables evaluadas fueron: consumo de alimento, donde el T2 obtuvo mejores resultados; de la misma manera el T2 logró mejor ganancia de peso; mientras que para conversión alimenticia los resultados del análisis de varianza presentaron diferencias significativas (P<0,05) siendo el T2 quien tuvo óptimos resultados.
