Arranjos espaciais de plantas sobre a produtividade do tomateiro

Abstract

O objetivo deste trabalho foi avaliar o efeito de cinco arranjos espaciais sobre a produtividade de plantas de tomate com crescimento indeterminado. Os arranjos utilizados foram 30 e 110, 40 e 100, 50 e 90, 60 e 80, 70 e 70cm (o primeiro número indica o menor, e o último, o maior espaçamento entre duas plantas consecutivas na fileira). O espaçamento entre fileiras foi de 1m para todos os tratamentos. A condução das plantas foi no sistema de “V” invertido. Houve seqüência de ziguezague de plantas pareadas de espaçamento menor e maior, evice-versa, entre as duas fileiras pareadas. A cultivar Diva foi usada no ano agrícola 1998/99 e a ‘Carmen’, no ano agrícola 2002/03. O delineamento experimental foi em blocos ao acaso com cinco repetições. Não houve efeito dos arranjos estudados sobre as variáveis produtividade de frutos total e comercial, porcentagem de frutos comerciais, peso médio dos frutos comerciais e número de frutos colhidos por hectare.
