
This talk will concentrate upon model elastic, mechanical and acoustic devices that have resonance as a key component and where grading or otherwise altering a parameter lead to interesting and useful effects. This includes focussing and redirecting wave energy. To further illustrate the control that it is possible to have over elastic waves and vibration an elastic orbital angular momentum device will be discussed that converts one wave mode into another.
