Minerva Archaeology is an independent practice specialising in archaeology and the historic environment. The company undertakes a wide variety of commercial archaeological projects for clients involved in housing and industrial development, pipeline and road construction, agriculture and landscaping. As a condition of the planning consent for a new storage building and associated access road at Roe Green Barn, Roe Green, Sandon, Hertfordshire, Minerva Archaeology was commissioned to undertake an archaeological monitoring of all groundworks associated with the development. Despite evidence for archaeological activity from the medieval period onwards being identified within 500m of the study area, no significant archaeological features, artefacts or deposits were encountered.
