METAIS PESADOS E EMISSÃO DE GASES DE EFEITO ESTUFA EM ORGANOSSOLO CULTIVADO

Abstract

Organossolos têm grande importância nos agroecossistemas, especialmente no Rio de Janeiro, onde estão sob intensa pressão antrópica. Este estudo avaliou propriedades químicas e a emissão de gases de efeito estufa em diferentes profundidades de um Organossolo sob uso agrícola, localizado em Santa Cruz, zona rural do Rio de Janeiro. Amostras foram coletadas nas camadas de 0–10, 10–20, 20–30 e 30–40 cm para análise de pH, cátions trocáveis (Ca, Mg, K, Na, Al e H), P assimilável, soma e saturação por bases, CTC, teores e estoque de carbono. Também foram determinados teores de elementos potencialmente tóxicos (Cd, Cr, Cu, Mn, Ni, Pb, Zn e Fe), além da emissão de N₂O e CO₂ em estações distintas (verão e inverno), com coletas por quatro dias em cada época. Em superfície, os elevados teores de Ca, K e P foram associados à adubação e calagem. A redução de carbono e matéria orgânica até 20 cm decorreu da drenagem e mecanização. Teores de Cd, Cu e Pb ultrapassaram valores de intervenção, atribuídos ao uso recorrente de insumos agrícolas. As emissões de N₂O variaram entre estações, influenciadas pelo clima e umidade do solo. As emissões de CO₂ foram maiores no inverno, com pico de 1,9 kg C-CO₂ m⁻² h⁻¹.
