Abstract

Die Road Network Performance (RNP) wirkt sich auf die wirtschaftliche, ökologische und soziale Nachhaltigkeit aus. Dennoch berücksichtigen Modelle zur Schätzung von Straßenverkehrskosten häufig nicht die regionalen Besonderheiten der RNP. Während die Verfügbarkeit geeigneter Instrumente, Datenquellen und Rechenkapazitäten zur Messung konkreter RNP in großem Maßstab in einer Vielzahl von akademischen Bereichen stetig zugenommen hat, bleibt unklar, warum Forscher und Praktiker diese nicht stärker nutzen, um die Abschätzung der Auswirkungen des Verkehrs zu verbessern. In dieser Dissertation werden die Errungenschaften auf dem Gebiet der Standortintelligenz integriert, um effiziente Methoden für die Einbeziehung verschiedener Datenquellen zu entwickeln und zu präsentieren, die eine bessere Abschätzung der RNP und ihrer Auswirkungen auf die wirtschaftlichen und ökologischen Dimensionen der Nachhaltigkeit ermöglichen.

Road Network Performance (RNP) impacts economic, ecological, and social sustainability. Nonetheless, models for road transport cost estimation often fail to account for the regional specificity of RNP. While the availability of suitable tools, data sources, and computational capacities to measure concrete RNP on a wide scale has steadily increased across a multitude of academic fields, it remains unclear why researchers and practitioners alike do not leverage them more heavily to improve estimations of transportation impact. This dissertation integrates achievements on the topic of location intelligence to develop and present efficient methodologies for incorporating diverse data sources to allow for better estimation of RNP and its impact on the economic and ecological dimensions of sustainability.
