TERATOMA CÍSTICO EM GESTANTE

Abstract

O teratoma é um tipo de tumor que tem costume de surgir nas células germinativas dos ovários e dos testículos. Ele é formado a partir de células totipotentes que dão origem às ordens de células que são necessárias para formar tecidos maduros e estruturas do nosso organismo. É bem comum, na sua aparência, conter cabelo, dentes, pele, ossos e tecido neural. Existem o teratoma maduro, imaturo e o altamente especializado. A maioria dos teratomas não tem sintomas e o seu diagnóstico é acidental, quando se faz um exame de imagem de rotina. A forma mais simples de diagnosticá-lo é pela ultrassonografia, mas, em casos duvidosos, pode realizar tomografia computadorizada ou ressonância magnética. O tratamento se dá por meio de cirurgia por via aberta (laparotomia) ou por laparoscopia, tudo vai depender do tipo de teratoma, onde, em casos mais graves, podem ter ciclos de quimioterapia pós-cirurgia. Desse modo, percebe-se a importância de e ter um diagnóstico assertivo e precoce, a fim de realizar o melhor e mais eficaz tratamento.
