Abstract: Uber, an application developed in the U.S., is presented as a new and practical platform that makes easier to get safe and punctual transportation; however, this application has been involved in various conflicts in different countries around the world. This article aims to see how it was implemented in Colombia and whether the use of this application constitutes unfair competition according to the provisions of Law 256 of 1996. Resumen: Uber, una aplicación desarrollada en los EE.UU., se presenta como una plataforma novedosa y práctica que facilita conseguir un medio de transporte seguro y puntual; sin embargo, esta aplicación ha tenido diversos conflictos de aceptación en los diferentes países del mundo. Este artículo pretende ver cómo ha sido su implementación en Colombia y si la utilización de dicha aplicación constituye competencia desleal conforme a lo establecido en la ley 256 de 1996.
