This article analyzes the historical events that took place in the Central Asian region in the XVI-XIX centuries. The struggle for leadership between the political forces in the region during the study period and their relationship are studied on the basis of archival documents, historical sources and scientific literature. It is known that the economic, social and political relations of the Khiva Khanate with the Kazakh subjects acquired an important historical significance.
