TOXICOLOGIA FORENSE NA PERÍCIA CRIMINAL

Abstract

O estudo tem por objetivo demonstrar a importância do profissional da saúde na perícia criminal, em destaque a toxicologia forense, uma área de formação com carência de artigos publicados, o que evidencia a importância e falta de concursos para o crescimento e habilidade profissional. É um estudo descritivo com pesquisa exploratória, dentro da delimitação do tema da pesquisa, com foco nos objetivos e formulação das hipóteses de trabalho com base em levantamento bibliográfico, através da busca de publicações indexadas na base de dados Scientific Electronic Library Online (Scielo), Google Acadêmico e outras plataformas que abordam a atuação frente à toxicologia forense. A busca nos bancos de dados foi realizada por meio de pesquisa na Biblioteca Virtual de Saúde – BVS. Quanto aos critérios, foram considerados para inclusão, os artigos publicados na íntegra, de procedência nacional e que foram publicados e indexados no período entre 2012 a 2021. A toxicologia forense faz parte dessas etapas, auxiliando todo o processo de elucidação do crime, através do estudo realizado sobre as possíveis substâncias químicas presentes no organismo ou no local do crime e que possam ter desencadeado efeitos nocivos ao indivíduo. O farmacêutico, por seu vasto conhecimento em química e biologia, está capacitado a realizar a coleta e a realização de análises, utilizando metodologia específica para identificar e quantificar agentes tóxicos, poluentes, fármacos, entre outros. Sendo assim, pouco se sabe sobre essa área de atuação do farmacêutico, tão importante nos processos investigativos, na qual a medicina forense possui uma grande oportunidade de trabalho pouco explorado.
