Abstract

O tema comportamento de compra impulsivo tem sido abordado com frequência na academia. Contudo, no Brasil, ocorrem poucos estudos que verifiquem a capacidade preditiva dos valores humanos e das variáveis sociodemográficas nesse tipo de compra não planejada. Para melhor compreender esse fenômeno, o objetivo do estudo apresentando neste artigo é de analisar a relação entre os valores humanos propostos pela Escala de Schwartz (SVS) e sua influência no comportamento de compra impulsivo ao lado das variáveis sociodemográficas gênero, idade, escolaridade, renda e etnia. Por meio de análises de regressão múltipla, constatou-se o efeito preditor dos valores humanos Hedonismo, Poder e Segurança, e das variáveis sociodemográficas gênero e grau de escolaridade no comportamento de compra impulsivo. O efeito explicativo dos valores humanos e das variáveis identificadas é descrito por meio de um modelo que apresenta um poder explicativo médio de 14,3% para os casos de comportamento de compra impulsivo na amostra estudada.
