Abstract

Cette étude visait à évaluer le potentiel biopesticide de l'extrait de différentes parties du neem notamment les graines, feuilles et écorces extraits à l'eau tiède pendant 24 heures contre Spodoptera frugiperda. Deux types d’essai ont été réalisés : tests au laboratoire utilisant les œufs et deux stades larvaires (L2 et L4) et les tests au champ utilisant seulement les larves du stade L2. Les résultats du test au laboratoire ont montré que l’extrait issu de toutes les parties de neem a une concentration de 10% et 20% est efficace sur les œufs (80,53 à 100 % de mortalité) suivi des larves du stade L2 (80-100% de mortalité) et des larves du stade L4 qui ont montré une certaine résistance (40-100% de mortalité). Les expériences réalisées au champ utilisant une concentration de 10 et 20% d'extrait de graine, feuilles et écorce du neem ont permis de contrôler efficacement la CLA (68,3-82,5% de mortalité) par rapport au témoin (6,6% de mortalité). L'extrait de feuilles de neem avec une concentration de 10% très disponible et facile à préparer (par rapport aux graines et écorces) peut potentiellement être utilisé comme un biopesticide susceptible de combattre la CLA en induisant des taux de mortalité supérieur à 50% au champ.
