Syntypus: PARAGUAY. Canindeyú: “ In uliginosis pr. Ipé hú ”, XI.1898 –1899, Hassler, E. 5264 (G [G00400437]!; isotype: G [G00400464]!), syn. nov. Notas. – En el protólogo de L. alopecuroides f. integrum, las características mencionadas (“foliis integris, patenti-inflexis”) y el estudio morfológico de los 4 especímenes citados, confirman que es un sinónimo de L. longipes. Efectuamos aquí formalmente la sinonimia. Se designa como lectótipo a la colección Hassler 8267 por tener una planta completa y responder a las características mencionadas en el protólogo. Existe además un duplicado depositado en otro herbario. Si bien la colección Hassler 1171 posee una etiqueta manuscrita con la leyenda “ subsp. contextum Mart. f. integrifolius ” [nom. nud.], no se seleccionó como lectótipo porque la planta está estéril. En cuanto a L. alopecuroides f. intermedium las características diagnósticas mencionadas en el protólogo (“foliis basi spinuloso-denticulatis inflexo patulis”) corresponden al rango de las variaciones morfológicas de L. longipes, por lo que aquí se lo sinonimiza. De los 2 sintipos citados en el protólogo, se elige a Hassler 6834 por tener una planta en estado fértil y estéril a la vez.
