Abstract

T. aestivum L. s. ampl. ssp. vulgäre (Vill.) Thell. (T. vulgäreVill.) Cat. 401. Früher eine alte, gut akklimatisierte Sommerweizensorte im Gebirge: so Gspon ob Staldenried, 1900m, und Weissenried im Lötschental, 1780m (BLOETZER in litt. 20.3. 1953); vgl. auch die Angaben desCat.: Törbel,1750m (E.MURET),Saas-Fee,1750m (H.JACCARD)undFindelenbei Zermatt, 2000 m (SCHRÖTER). «Diese alten, einheimischen, wenig ertragreichen Landweizensorten wurden um die Jahrhundertwendeund besonders in den zwanzigerJahren,nach dem ersten Weltkrieg, aufgegebenund sind heute wohl restlos verschwunden» (BLOETZERin litt. 20.3. 1953).FürFindelenwurde mit Sicherheit festgestellt,dass Weizen dort seit mehr als vierzig Jahren nicht mehr angebaut worden ist(BLOETZER in litt. 14.7. 1953). Erhebungen in Saas-Fee ergaben, dass diese Getreideart heute dort völlig fehlt (HIRSCHMANNin litt. 21.3.1953). BetreffendTörbelschriebzwarnoch1928STEBLER(Lit.1928,S. 6l): «öfters gebaut bis 1700m». Nach Mitteilung von Herrn 0. HUBER-LANG (25.8. 1953) gilt dies jedoch heute, wo der Getreidebaubei Törbelstark zurückgegangenist,nichtmehr. Oft ruderal; Z. B.: um Branson und Fully (Garns); Simplon-Dorf (Becherer 1939); bis in die alpine Stufe: beim Hotel Riffelberg ob Zermatt, 2565m (Becherer 1950).
