The COVID-19 pandemic poses a major threat to human health and life. Elderly people with low immunity are at a particular risk. To discover the mechanisms of coronavirus influence on the human body, an important role is assigned to the study of the influence of coronavirus on amino acid metabolism. The article presents results on the age-related peculiarities of amino acid metabolism in patients infected with the SARS-CoV-2 virus.
