Este trabajo estudia estructuras que presentan duplicación del sujeto (DdS) en el español norpatagónico. La DdS da lugar a un único acto de habla y a una única frase entonativa (IP). Si bien las dos manifestaciones del sujeto (S1 y S2) son correferenciales y semánticamente equivalentes, estas presentan características sintácticas, prosódicas e informativas marcadamente diferentes. Además, existe una restricción respecto de su disposición lineal: S1 y S2 no pueden ser adyacentes. Entre S1 y S2 es necesario que ocurra al menos el núcleo de la frase entonativa (NE). El objetivo de este trabajo es ofrecer un análisis de DdS. La afirmación central es que DdS es una coordinación de dos cláusulas, SC1 y SC2. En SC2, S2 se mueve-A’ a la periferia izquierda de la cláusula; luego, ST es elidido. Este análisis está basado en las propuestas de Ott & de Vries (2016), Truckenbrodt (2016), Fernández-Sánchez (2017), entre otros, para los casos de dislocación a la derecha (DD). Concretamente, argumentamos que DdS se comporta como DD tanto en términos sintácticos como prosódicos e informativos.
