Abstract

Molgula ficus (MacDonald, 1859) (Figs 72; 80C) Caesira ficus MacDonald, 1859: 368. Molgula ficus – Lambert 2007: 95, figs 1, 2, synonymie et répartition. MATÉRIEL EXAMINÉ. — Indonésie. Berau, E Kalimantan, Maratua Island, Danau Tanah Bamban, marine lake, 2°13.825’N, 118°34.785’E, 26.X.2003, 0,5 m, coll. L. J. Bell, TBM004 (MNHN S3 MOL A 354). — Berau, E Kalimantan, Maratua Island, Danau Haji Buang, marine lake, 2°12.630’N, 118°35.681’E, 23.X.2003, 0,5 m, coll. L. J. Bell, HBM011 (MNHN S3 MOL A 353). DESCRIPTION Les individus (Fig. 80C) sont sphériques de 30 à 40 mm de diamètre, agrégés. La tunique est rugueuse, blanchâtre hérissée de petites papilles et des protubérances entourent les siphons. La consistance est celle du papier. Le manteau est fin, semi-transparent. La musculature est limitée aux siphons et à des fibres radiaires qui s’étendent des siphons au tiers de la longueur du corps (Fig. 72A). La marge des siphons porte des expansions filiformes de 3 ordres de longueur. Les tentacules buccaux sont longs et ramifiés.Il y a un velum buccal. Le bourrelet péricoronal en V profond, enserre un tubercule vibratile ouvert en un S transverse. La branchie (Fig. 72B) a 7 plis de chaque côté constitués de 5 à 6 sinus, il n’y a pas de sinus entre les plis. Le tube digestif forme une double boucle fermée. L’anus est lisse. Le foie est en 2 parties. Généralement il y a une gonade de chaque côté, mais parfois l’une d’elles manque (Fig. 72B). L’ovaire est large et court, entouré du testicule sur son extrémité proximale. REMARQUES Cette espèce est largement répartie dans tout l’ouest Pacifique et à l’est le long des côtes du Chili. Elle a été récemment trouvée en Californie où elle est considérée comme invasive (Lambert 2007).
