CUIDADOS DA TRAQUEOSTOMIA EM CRIANÇAS

Abstract

Na prática hospitalar e na literatura científica são evidentes as dificuldades e desinformação dos familiares quanto aos procedimentos técnicos de cuidados que as Crianças com Necessidades Especiais de Saúde (CRINAES) necessitam para sobreviver. Observa-se ainda que esses cuidados interferem de forma abrangente e significativa na vida dos cuidadores, principalmente a mãe, que passa organizar sua vida em torno das necessidades do filho. Deste modo, nosso objetivo foi construir e validar material educativo sobre práticas de cuidado para mães cuidadoras de CRIANES. Os conteúdos definidos no decorrer da elaboração dos materiais emergiram dos depoimentos das mães envolvidas na prática do cuidado ao filho, associados às sugestões de especialistas e à fundamentação científica, visando sua acurácia. Podemos destacar como grande diferencial a participação das mães cuidadoras na definição do conteúdo dos materiais educativos. Neste material educativo sobre cuidados da traqueostomia em crianças são abordados os seguintes temas: conhecendo a traqueostomia; aspiração da traqueostomia e vias aéreas; higienização da traqueostomia; troca do cadarço e fixação da traqueostomia e intercorrências.
