Open Science: the science of the future

Abstract

This is an updated broad intro to Open Science/Research I prepared for an invited seminar at the University College Dublin, February 2020. The slide deck covers 3 major topics: What is Open Science and why it is the only possible science for the future A broad introduction to Open Research practices, with a focus on open access, preprints, FAIR data and science reproducibility at large A final message of hope, on how Open Science can be the perfect occasion to reform the current academic culture and shift the conversation back to topics way more relevant than impact factors and similar.
