Genus Rhinotamides Olsson, 1944 Type species: Rhinotamides rudis, 1944, by monotypy. Late Campanian, northern Peru. Remarks Olsson (1944) noted the presence of a columellar fold on Tortuga Formation specimens of Rhinotamides rudis Olsson, 1944, but the fold is not evident in his figures nor in specimens collected from Tortuga by Steffen Kiel (written communication, 23 December 2017). Specimens from the Caballas Formation also lack a columellar fold; the very short columella is terminated at its anterior end with a sharp keel that forms the posterior margin of the abaxially twisted anterior canal.
