</script>This paper is intended the describe the scenario of the frequency of the computed tomography exam in Brazil. To this end, data were collected from the platform of the Department of Information Technology of the Unified Health System (DATASUS) and the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD). The collected data were analyzed, describing the scenario of the use of Computed Tomography in the Unified Health System (SUS). The results show that about 624 million diagnostic exams, which use ionizing radiation, were performed in SUS outpatients from 2010 to 2018. The OECD platform collected the number of CT exams in outpatients each year. 1,000 people in 12 member countries, who had all data available from 2011 to 2017. The results show that Brazil is among the 12 OECD countries that perform the most CT scans.
