Semantic Algebra: Δ-Σ as Complex Dynamics

Abstract

This work introduces an algebraic formalization of the Δ-Σ ontology. It is shown that the operators of distinction (Δ) and connection (Σ) form a basis of the complex plane, where Δ ∼ 1, Σ ∼ i. The status of the operator (identity) and the act of its application (addition/multiplication) are strictly separated. The state of the semantic field Φ = a + bi is interpreted as a complex number, the modulus of which is coherence K, and the argument is subjectivity. The number π is redefined not as a geometric constant but as a measure of the fundamental incompatibility between a discrete Δ-act and a continuous Σ-phase; it defines the resolution limit of reality. The dynamics of the system is described by an equation isomorphic to the Schrödinger equation. The proposed algebra unites quantum mechanics, psychophysics of perception, and information theory, building a bridge between the discrete and the continuous. The work builds on the author's previous results: the theorem on the inevitability of the Δ-Σ structure of reality, the formalization of the Σ-Memory hyperobject, the Principle of Maximum Σ-Coherence (PNC), and Δ-Σ psychology.
