Inteligência artificial na educação superior: potenciais, desafios e percepções estudantis

Abstract

This article analyzes the potential and challenges of applying Artificial Intelligence (AI) in education, with a focus on technological higher education. The study combines a bibliographic review on the foundations, historical evolution, and contemporary applications of Artificial Intelligence. In addition, an empirical study was conducted involving students from the programs of Systems Analysis and Development (ADS) and Multiplatform Software Development (DSM) at FATEC Praia Grande. Data collected through a questionnaire indicate that most students regularly use AI tools and recognize benefits such as the personalization of learning, support for research, task automation, and the expansion of access to knowledge. However, concerns were also identified regarding privacy, the reliability of algorithms, ethical impacts, and the risk of technological dependence. The results reinforce that the adoption of AI in education requires institutional policies, teacher training, and responsible practices of use. The present study points to the transformative potential of AI, provided that it is applied in a critical, ethical, and complementary manner to the human role in pedagogical mediation.
