Developing and Validating EVALINK (Evaluation Linked to Culture and Pancasila): A Culture Based Character Education Assessment Model Integrating Local Values and Latent Profile Analysis in Indonesia

Abstract

This dataset contains the supporting data used in the development and validation of the EVALINK (Evaluation Linked to Culture and Pancasila) model for culture-based character education assessment. The dataset includes expert validation results (Aiken’s V), readability test data, teacher implementation data, student observation data, student reflection data, and statistical output results including Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA), reliability testing (McDonald’s Omega and Cronbach’s Alpha), and Latent Profile Analysis (LPA). The data were collected from junior high school contexts in Indonesia and involve 6 expert validators, 28 teachers in readability testing, 56 teachers in implementation trials, 416 students in the observation stage, and 376 students in the student reflection stage. The dataset supports the empirical validation of the EVALINK model, which integrates local cultural values Gasik Arik (Respect for Diversity), Tonga Danga (Respect for Others, Parents, and God), Pohen Haben (Cooperation and Mutual Assistance), and Tedun Toda (Solidarity and Support for the Vulnerable) with the Pancasila Student Profile. The dataset is provided to enhance research transparency, reproducibility, and further academic use in the field of character education and culture-based assessment.
