Del extractivismo epistémico al epistemicidio: en torno a la descolonización del saber y del ser en la academia latinoamericana

Abstract

Se presenta un estudio que busca demostrar como las prácticas extractivistas aplicadas en el ámbito económico en las naciones latinoamericanas, al ser implementadas en el campo del conocimiento, se derivan en el suicidio epistémico de las sociedades que componen las distintas naciones de la región. Para ello se realizó una investigación documental tomando como referencia: libros impresos, libros electrónicos, vídeos, conferencias, artículos de revistas impresas y electrónicas; a partir del análisis de las lecturas se procedió a interpretar y construir la propuesta que derivó en la interpretación de los conceptos; es decir, el modelo epistémico de investigación utilizado fue el hermenéutico-fenomenológico, debido a que, el extractivismo epistémico se presenta como un fenómeno que se replica en todas las naciones del sur global, aunque el estudio se enfoque fundamentalmente en la academia latinoamericana. Por último, se hizo un emplazamiento a los intelectuales y académicos de la región para que desde una investigación responsable eviten incurrir en tan deleznable práctica.
