Abstract: Catharanthus roseus is an evergreen plant that originated from the islands ofMadagascar. It is known for its antitumor, anti-diabetic, and anti-microbial effects. Many famousphytochemicals, such as vincristine and vinblastine, were isolated from the plant. It possessesvarious pharmacological properties, including antioxidant, antimicrobial, and antidiabeticeffects. The purpose of the current study is to document updated data about its traditional uses. The endangered species needs to be conserved using techniques like micropropagation.
