(Eurygaster integriceps Put.)

Abstract

Hymenoptera larvae were found in the nymphs of Eurygaster integriceps Put. in Saratov region and Armenia. These larvae underwent normal development at fiгst but then perished at the passage of their host to the adult stage. Similaг larvae occurred in some otheг Pentatomidae (Aelia, Eurydema, Dolycoris). Аn analysis of the external morphology, аnd of published data on endoparasites of Heteroptera allows to referthem with great probability to Braconids of the subfamily Euphorinae. The death of the parasites seems to bе due to the inability of their serosa cells to transform within the Е. integriceps body to giant cells that serve as the main food of the Euphorinae larvae. The populalion of the parasites studied mау Ье maintaiпed at the expense of their successful development in otheг hosts, рrоbablу, the species belonging to the family Miridae.
