TEXTBOOK AS A MEANS OF SOCIO-PSYCHOLOGICAL SUPPORT OF INTERNALLY DISPLACED CHILDREN

Abstract

The study examines the potential of the textbook as a means of psychological assistance, socio-pedagogical support for internally displaced schoolchildren. Based on the analysis of scientific works by domestic and foreign authors, the situation of families with children in the conditions of the military conflict in Ukraine, the consequences of what children have experienced, the issue of providing them with assistance and support, and the potential of the educational sphere in the current difficult situation in the country are discussed. The results of the analysis conclude: the effectiveness of work with internally displaced students largely depends on the organization of their socio-psychological support in the educational process, a strong means of which should be textbooks. The emphasis is on the need to improve the programs of educational disciplines, adapt or develop new educational materials, and introduce content into them related to increasing the sense of security, resilience, and social security. In this context, the role of the teacher, including as the author of the textbook, and the need to rethink approaches to teacher training and their constant professional support are justified.
