O Brasil e o "Novo Tempo do Mundo": a construção de uma memória liberal-democrática sobre a ditadura pós-1964

Abstract

Este ensaio busca apresentar uma crítica à maneira como o regime ditatorial pós-1964 normalmente é apresentado pela perspectiva liberal-democrática. Argumento que essa figuração do mundo é incapaz de organizar uma crítica sistemática à ditadura, posto que é dependente de uma aceitação acrítica das categorias sociopolíticas dominantes do capitalismo contemporâneo. Estabeleço uma relação entre a crítica liberal-democrática e o regime de historicidade presentista, assim como a noção de novo tempo do mundo, indicando que, pelo rebaixado horizonte de expectativas que expressa, é incapaz de compreender a historicidade do último regime ditatorial brasileiro.
