</script>Syringodium filiforme Kützing 1860 es la segunda especie de angiosperma marina en importancia por su abundancia del Mar Caribe y en Cuba. Se detectó la presencia de un parche de esta especie con una longitud inusual en las hojas y el rizoma vertical al norte de la provincia Villa Clara, Cuba. Se presentan las mediciones realizadas en una muestra, que arrojó una longitud de la hoja entre 7.8 y 69 cm y se compara con los resultados de otros estudios, realizados con esta especie.
Syringodium filiforme Kützing 1860 is the second species of marine angiosperm in importance due its abundance of the Caribbean Sea and Cuba. The presence of a patch of this species with an unusual length on the leaves and vertical rhizome was detected at the north coast of Villa Clara, Cuba. The measurements made on a sample are presented, which showed a leaf length between 7.8 and 69 cm and are compared with the results of other studies carried out with this species.
