
This paper deals with the Great Trio of Ayurveda, known as the Brihat Trayi, consists of three foundational texts that form the backbone of Ayurvedic knowledge: Charaka Samhita – Written by Agnivesha and later edited by Charaka, this text focuses on internal medicine and general principles of Ayurveda. Sushruta Samhita – Authored by Sushruta, this treatise is renowned for its detailed descriptions of surgery and medical procedures. Ashtanga Hridayam – Composed by Vagbhata, this work synthesizes the knowledge from Charaka and Sushruta Samhitas, presenting Ayurveda in a more concise and systematic manner.The paper tries to discover the subject matter and their specialities in Ayurveda also.
