Estrategias de lectura en estudiantes del nivel primaria

Abstract

El nivel de la comprensión lectora en los estudiantes de educación primaria ha disminuido a raíz de la pandemia, principalmente en los países en desarrollo de América Latina, donde el aprendizaje de los estudiantes ha retrocedido dos años. El objetivo de esta investigación fue determinar los efectos del programa "Lectura por Placer" sobre la comprensión de textos en estudiantes de cuarto grado de primaria. El diseño es cuasi-experimental, intersujeto, pretest y postest de grupos intactos, experimental (n = 17) y control (n = 18). Se aplicó el Test de Comprensión Lectora ACL-4 y el cuestionario Perfil de Motivación para Leer. Los resultados muestran un incremento significativo en la competencia lectora, del nivel Inicio al nivel Proceso, pero muy leve del nivel Proceso al nivel Logro. Esto evidencia la necesidad de reevaluar los planes curriculares y los programas de Plan Lector, así como de incrementar el uso de textos expositivos y argumentativos, y el empleo de herramientas y recursos digitales para desarrollar en los estudiantes la imaginación, el pensamiento crítico y reflexivo, e incrementar el nivel de comprensión de textos.
