Abstract

This article aims to examine the transdisciplinary production of the group INDIGESTÃO, through their disruptive performances and happenings, which go beyond the limits of traditional artistic languages. Formed in 2012 by 5 artists who move between visual arts, audiovisual and sound production, the group is interested in tensioning the concepts of low and high culture. We will explore the group's artistic practices in light of Michel de Certeau's conception of "invention", where we employ the use of “mambembe” technologies to transcend the predictable. We qualitatively analyzed how the group transforms technological limitations into creative opportunities through the analysis of 3 selected works. We conclude that this approach highlights the group's ability to claim and reinvent public and technological space, highlighting invention as a resistant and creative act in today's arts scene.
