ABORDAGEM SOBRE RESFRIAMENTO LÍQUIDO PARA DATACENTERS

Abstract

Hoje em dia, vemos uma demanda crescente por processamento de dados, devido à digitalização de processos, computação na nuvem e, principalmente, Inteligência Artificial (IA). Isso acarreta num crescimento exponencial no consumo e geração de dados, surgindo a necessidade de aumentar a densidade de servidores nos datacenters, resultando em um maior consumo de energia e na geração de uma grande quantidade de calor. O método mais tradicional utilizado nos dias de hoje é através do resfriamento a ar, que possui uma limitação quando há uma densidade de servidores muito grande, além de não se mostrar eficiente e sustentável. Diante disso, uma outra técnica surge como alternativa para atender essa demanda, que é o resfriamento líquido, que aproveita as propriedades de transferência de calor da água e de outros fluídos para ter uma melhor eficiência na refrigeração dos equipamentos. Este artigo tem o objetivo de mostrar algumas técnicas utilizadas para implementar esse tipo de resfriamento.
